Sarah Henry Conversion Pros

Ultra-modern, highly technologically advanced, and at the cutting edge of the world of financial services and technology, the FX industry heralds executives who are ambitious, enthusiastic and upwardly mobile.

In its relative infancy compared to the hierarchical, wood-paneled institutions of traditional banking, FX represents all that is urbane and fast moving, hence the lack of a metaphorical ‘glass ceiling’. With this dynamism comes the rise to success of several ladies whose prominence in senior management positions across the entire FX industry, from social trading, to interactive educational systems, to signal provision, platform engineering, events, and brokerage.

FinanceFeeds’ Ricardo Esteves spoke to Sarah Henry, Sales Manager at CONVERSION PROS, a marketing company based in Limassol, Cyprus, which has quickly become the go-to-company in the FX industry.

How did you get into the industry?

Very flattered that you have reached out, I also appreciate that you are not wanting to have the article appear to be a “token” towards the ladies – as I am sure you will agree by the replies that you will receive that, although women may not control the majority share of “title” positions they play a crucial role in the industry.

I started out on the phones 10 years ago selling 10 pip spreads for one of the few online brokers at the time. It was the “wild west” I guess you could say, with brokers being really brazen in product, sales and marketing approaches.

Having spent 8 years in the B2C arena and having progressed from sales through to marketing, I made the jump to B2B. I worked my way up the ranks and joined CONVERSION PROS over 2 years ago as Sales Manager.

My experience allows me to use my insights and know-how of how Brokers work and their needs to be able to provide solid, workable solutions to enhance their marketing approaches.

Tell us about CONVERSION PROS

CONVERSION PROS started as a Marketing agency but has quickly grown to be the go-to company for brands and individuals looking for solutions to various challenges in the FX and Binary industry. Under the CP umbrella are well known industry events such as the iFX EXPO & Financial Partners Expo as well as Leadustry which leads its marketing arm. With the rate that the industry runs at, we are continuously looking to invest in talent as well as find new ways to address needs across both the B2B and B2C space, with a  focus on technology and innovation.

What are your views on the women within the financial services industry?

The industry has evolved so much since then and the margin for error is slim to none. This situation opens the door for 2 talents that I think many women possess in an abundance: Creativity and Problem Solving.

There are so many opportunities for growth and progression by never underestimating what you bring to the table, and if you are not invited to the table, pull out your own chair, sit down and engage. Be proud to be part of a team, it’s not a “one-woman show” (no pun intended)! ”

What are your plans for the future?

I am eager to continue to use my strengths and aptitudes within the company to lead us forward and grow our brands to achieve new successes both in the industry and looking to broader reach into new sectors. The success of our clients reflects our success as a company and on a broader level the growth and success of the industry as a whole, something that I am and will continue to be an active contributor.
