FinanceFeeds New York Cup: Robert De Niro’s exclusive venue hosts 35 senior FX industry movers & shakers

Now is the time to focus on North America’s finely honed prowess as a global electronic trading superpower, right the way from the vast exchanges of Chicago to the several-decades long expertise of Wall Street’s finest

In such an online, highly technologically advanced industry as ours, the ability for senior executives to socialize and meet with each other is paramount, and where better to do this than the epicenter the entire electronic trading and financial technology industry’s innovative and sophisticated establishment – New York.

The United States has a long and illustrious institutional and proprietary electronic trading history, Chicago’s advanced and all-encompassing derivatives exchanges embodying the pinnacle of the world’s futures industry, and New York’s interbank sector sitting shoulder to shoulder with some of the world’s largest multi-asset OTC firms.

More than ever, now is the time to focus on the United States as a top drawer market for the OTC derivatives industry, its client base being domestic market only and highly advanced, with large, long term portfolios, and an infrastructure and regulatory framework that leads the world, yet competition in the retail OTC sector is now minimal. Yes, the regulatory capital requirement by the National Futures Association is gargantuan by comparison to anywhere else, but if approached properly, the US is the absolute place to be.

Symbolizing North America’s position among the very upper echelons of today’s modern electronic trading industry, FinanceFeeds hosted the second New York Cup exclusive networking event last Thursday, March 30, in the prestigious surroundings of The Gallery at Robert De Niro’s TriBeCa Grill in downtown Manhattan, this being the sequel to the first FinanceFeeds New York Cup which was held at the same venue on December 1 last year, and represents the ninth FinanceFeeds Cup networking event in the international series.

Hosted and introduced by FinanceFeeds CEO Andrew Saks-McLeod, the event, which engenders networking and the ability to conduct critical business conversations in private with the leaders of a cross section of North America’s electronic trading industry, was sponsored by Forest Park FX, one of North America’s largest and most widely acknowledged NFA-regulated introducing brokers operated by Justin Hertzberg.

The company creates custom FX brokerage and trading solutions for traders and money managers as well as market access through the world’s top Forex brokers, built-to-specification trading algorithms, administrative and operational support for money managers and customized liquidity for institutional and high volume traders.

Welcoming 35 senior executives to the FinanceFeeds New York Cup networking event was an equal level of haute cauture, the event being hosted at Robert De Niro’s esteemed venue in Lower West Manhattan. The Gallery, a specialist and exclusive art-filled room allowed guests to conduct important discussions with absolute discretion.

In attendance were senior prime of prime brokerage executives, blockchain development marketing and positioning experts, specialist management consultants which structure institutional and retail FX companies, global regulatory arbitration executives, specialist charting and analytics experts, senior executives from large Chicago derivatives exchanges, the senior management of the institutional division of one of America’s largest FX brokerages, and a senior trader with 20 years experience who began his career at Drexel Burhnam Lambert, subsequently rising to fame on New York’s rich list and being a recognized figure on CNBC.

During the course of the evening, hors d’oeuvres were served, along with bespoke fine wines under the specialist label ‘Bacchus’, each of which has been specially selected by David Gordon, Wine Director at Robert De Niro’s TriBeCa Grill, and is detailed under three specific labels.

From vineyards in California, the Bacchus Chardonnay and Pinot Noir white grapes and the Cabernet Sauvignon red grapes are personally selected by David Gordon as he oversees the entire process with the winemaker, including the malolactic fermentation process which is unique to this particular Chardonnay.
