ADS Securities: Dealing with the Brexit black swan

Mild mannered, polite and urbane FX industry senior executive Bryan Seegers has been promoted to the position of Co-Head Global eFX Coverage at ADS Securities, based at the company’s head office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

After joining Alpari’s North American division in 2009, he rebuilt Alpari’s Trading Desk with a team of dealers who covered the desk six days per week, twenty four hours per day.

Under his supervision and direction, Alpari’s Trading Desk average monthly profits rose by a quite remarkable 466%. During his tenure at Alpari, Mr Seegers also contributed to the expansion of the firm’s product offering by implementing a hybrid dealing model which allows for some of the highest flexibility in trade execution between a STP and a Dealing Desk model during a time at which this was a critical aspect in retail FX businesses. His remit at Alpari also included forging and maintaining liquidity relationships with several top tier banks.

After leaving Alpari in June 2012, Mr. Seegers’ initial role at ADS Securities involved a relocation to Abu Dhabi, where he was Senior FX Dealer for a year, before being promoted in June 2013 to Head of eFX Pricing and Execution, where he was responsible for ADS’s global electronic FX offering across servers in NY4, LD4 and TY3.

In June 2014, Mr. Seegers was made a Director, before this month being promoted to Co-Head Global eFX Coverage where he is now leading the group within the firm that is responsible for Relationship Management, Client Services, Sales Trading and Liquidity Management globally.

Going back to 2008, before Mr. Seegers joined Alpari, he was an Associate FX Trader at Ikon Global Markets in New York, where he specialized in FX Spot, OTC Options, USD/INR NDF’s Dealing and Hedging as well as Market Making in G10 Spot and Options.

A three month tenure as a Summer Analyst at Bear Stearns initiated Mr. Seegers’ career in June 2006, based in New York. He is an alumnus of the University of Rhode Island – College of Business Administration, from where he holds a Batchelor of Science degree in Finance and Leadership Studies.
