“I’m pleased to be joining TORA at an inflection point in the market where there’s a greater awareness of the benefits of the TORA all-in-one model.”

TORA has appointed Alex Findlay as the New York-based Director of Sales of the multi-asset order and execution management system (OEMS) and portfolio management system (PMS) provider.

As Director of Sales, he will leverage his 15 years of experience in financial products and sales to focus on bringing TORA’s integrated suite of trading technology to US based customers.

Alex Findlay will replace Mark Moran, who left the comprany earlier this year to launch his own venture, Peak6recruiters.

Findlay joins TORA after State Street, Bloomberg, and Thomson Reuters

Alex Findlay joined TORA from State Street, where he worked as a sales and relationship manager for the FX Connect product, first in London and then in New York.

Prior to that, he worked at Bloomberg as Technical Account Manager for clients of the B-PIPE Enterprise Market Data feed. He had previously worked as a market analyst at Thomson Reuters.

Alex Findlay, Director of Sales at TORA, commented: “I’ve seen in my career just how important technology can be in enabling both buy and sell side institutions to capitalize on changing market dynamics. I’m pleased to be joining TORA at an inflection point in the market where there’s a greater awareness of the benefits of the TORA all-in-one model.”

Chris Jenkins, Managing Director at TORA, said: “As a part of the London Stock Exchange Group, we now have greater reach and capability to help institutions of all sizes benefit from the TORA all-in-one platform. Alex’s years of experience with some of the largest names in finance will be invaluable as we move to accelerate our growth.”

TORA’s OEMS and PMS cover equities, fixed income, derivatives and FX

TORA’s multi asset OEMS and PMS delivers advanced trading functionality including best execution, order allocation management, automated broker order routing, TCA, pre-trade risk controls, position management, full general ledger, shadow account and real time P&L tracking.

Both OEMS and PMS cover all kinds of asset classes and instruments across equities, fixed income, derivatives and FX. The firm has recently been acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group, which will allow it to broaden its reach.

TORA is headquartered in San Francisco and has over 250 employees across offices in London, Hong Kong, Jersey, New York, Romania, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
