Angel City Football Club names Crypto.com as official cryptocurrency and NFT partner
Digital asset exchange platform Crypto.com has inked yet another sponsorship deal with Angel City Football Club (ACFC). The lucrative multiyear partnership will see Crypto.com become the women sports team’s founding partner, official cryptocurrency and NFT sponsor.

The specific financial terms behind the partnership have not been disclosed. But Crypto.com explains its collaboration with ACFC aims to increase awareness of cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and Web3 technologies among LA soccer fans, ACFC players, and across the broader ACFC organization.
The alliance will also focus on financial equity, collaborative development of NFTs, community participation and social impact initiatives.
Crypto.com, which claims over 10 million users worldwide, has had a very busy year snatching up sports sponsorships left and right. Not only have they become the official crypto partner of ACFC, but also have inked deals with European soccer giant Paris Saint-Germain, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Formula 1 racing, Italy’s Lega Serie A, and the IIHF Hockey World Championship.

Crypto.com leads the industry in sports partnerships
Speaking on behalf of Crypto.com, CEO Kris Marszalek said: “We are a community dedicated to building the future of the internet: Web3. Powered by cryptocurrency, Web3 will be more fair and equitable, owned by the builders, creators, and users. We’re thrilled to be joining ACFC as a founding partner, deepening our relationship with the City of Los Angeles while supporting a team that shares our values and is equally committed to helping people achieve financial independence and self-determination.”
“Key to Angel City’s goal to drive equity for women is to empower them with the tools and resources to be financially independent. Given the speed with which Web3 and cryptocurrency is changing our world, we want to ensure that women are being brought along on the journey as investors and creators. Partnering with Crypto.com was a natural fit given their leadership in the space and mission to level the playing field with crypto. We are excited to work with them to educate our community and players on crypto and allow our players to use the power of NFTs to connect with and create a deeper relationship with their fans,” added ACFC Co-Founder and President Julie Uhrman.
Crypto.com was also the first crypto firm to partner with an F1 team and the first to pair up with NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and an NHL franchise, the Montreal Canadians.
A notable milestone was that Crypto.com will pay a significant portion of PSG’s contractual fee using their cryptocurrency token CRO. The exchange also plans to release unique collections of NFTs as a result of the iconic partnership.
