Arquant taps SocGen as fund custodian, valuator and liability manager for BTC, ETH, and derivatives

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has announced the launch of digital asset services for asset management companies wishing to develop innovative professional funds based on the emerging asset class.

SocGen has been growing in expertise of crypto assets, having launched dedicated subsidiary Societe Generale FORGE in order to develop services related to digital assets as more and more investors look toward integrating cryptoassets in their portfolios.

FORGE, the specialist in digital assets and structured several native security tokens recently helped the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) with an issuance of a 100m€ digital bond in 2021.

SocGen launches crypto services for asset managers

To address the new demand from clients, asset management companies are increasingly looking to build new ranges of solutions invested mainly in digital assets.

SGSS, SocGen’s asset management division is offering asset managers to act as a fund custodian, valuator and liability manager in order to allow them to enhance their offer in a simple and adapted manner, within the European regulatory framework.

Arquant launches actively managed funds based on Bitcoin, Ether, derivatives

Arquant Capital SAS has been an early adopter of SocGen’s digital asset service for asset managers. The France-headquartered firm is licensed by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and is opening a range of specialised professional funds under French law, actively managed and invested in crypto currencies. The first two products of the range in euros are mainly based on Bitcoin, Ether and derivatives.
