An employee at the Japanese banking institution Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (TYO:8411) has fallen from a fifth floor window whilst working at the company’s London office at Bracken House, in Cannon Street which is in London’s ‘Square Mile’ financial district.

The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was a 42 year old banker who was pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance paramedics who were called to deal with the incident.

A public statement was made by a spokesperson for Mizuho Bank:

“We are deeply saddened and shocked at the loss of our Mizuho Bank colleague today at Bracken House. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

No information has been provided yet as to whether the circumstances of this incident are suspicious or otherwise, with the spokesperson having continued:

“This matter is under police investigation and we are not able to provide further comment.”
