David White, who has held senior positions with Zurich Insurance, will join Benchmark Capital in February 2020.

Benchmark Capital today announces the appointment of David White as Group Managing Director.

Mr White is set to join the business in February 2020. He will be working closely with Ian Cooke, Chief Executive Officer, to develop and implement the firms’ future growth strategy. Mr White will be based at the firms’ Sussex headquarters.

Benchmark Capital has seen strong client demand and David White is poised to bring experience of similar businesses to oversee and harness this growth.

Before joining Benchmark Capital, Mr White held senior positions with Zurich Insurance as CEO of their EMEA travel insurance business and Managing Director of the UK retail business. He was previously Head of Fidelity Funds Network.

Peter Harrison, Schroders Group CEO and Chairman of Benchmark Capital, commented:

“Benchmark Capital’s award-winning technology is a key part of our UK Wealth growth strategy. The business is focused on delivering investment and client service excellence and I am pleased that David White will be joining the business to work with Ian and his team to continue building on these strong foundations.”

Ian Cooke, CEO of Benchmark Capital, said:

“David will be a great addition to the team at Benchmark Capital and I’m really looking forward to working with him to manage and grow the business. We are already a leading partner for many wealth advisers in the UK but we have plans to significantly increase our footprint in the market. David will be central to Benchmark achieving those ambitions.”

David White, Group Managing Director of Benchmark Capital, said:

“I am delighted to be joining Benchmark Capital at a very exciting time for the company. Ian Cooke and his team have built a solid foundation among the wealth and financial planning community and working together we plan to go from strength to strength, supporting Schroders’ ambitions in the UK retail wealth space.”

Let’s recall that, in December 2016, Schroders, the FTSE 100 global investment manager, made a strategic investment into Benchmark Capital, recognising the group’s best-in-class technology, unique investment platform and deep relationship with its clients.
