Yves Honore, co-founder of Switzerland’s first regulated Bitcoin exchange SBEX, has launched yet another Bitcoin startup, this time focusing on a secure means of buying, selling and storing Bitcoins.
Operating under the name bity.com, the new service provides accounts for holders of Bitcoin who wish to buy or sell them against the EUR or CHF currencies or store them securely.
Mr. Honore began his commercial interest in virtual currency in April 2014 when he co-founded SBEX, an acronym for the Swiss Bitcoin Exchange, which gained approval from Swiss banking authorities and paved the way for a retail Bitcoin network in Switzerland, along with a network of ATMs.
With a background in technology, and having worked for Alcatel-Lucent, the French telecommunications giant, as well as having been IT Project Coordinator at the State of Geneva, Mr. Honore is technologically astute.
Before entering such senior roles, Mr. Honore was EMEA Pre-Sales Engineer for Advanced Fiber Communications in Paris, preceeded by a 2 and a half year tenure at Altran as a Network Consultant, also in Paris.
