Boerse Stuttgart GmbH has announced the appointment of Bincy Kochalumoottil to its management board and the group executive committee.

Effective 1 September, she will be developing areas of growth in the capital markets business of the exchange group, including the Sweden and Switzerland operations, the business focusing on commodities such as gold, as well as the data and information business. She will also be steering the group’s sales activities throughout Europe, the company announced.

Commerzbank’s payments and Comdirect’s CFDs

Bincy Kochalumoottil joins Boerse Stuttgart Group from Commerzbank AG, where she has played a number of roles since 2012, including leading Digital Banking and Strategy in the Private Clients segment of the bank.

From 2019, she was in charge as Managing Director of the product area for cards and new payments for retail and corporate clients. Prior to Commerzbank, she helped Comdirect Bank AG launch its CFD product offering.

Dr. Matthias Voelkel, CEO of Boerse Stuttgart Group, commented: “As Boerse Stuttgart Group, we aim for further growth with our strong capital markets business in Europe. The alignment of our business units and trading venues plays an important role in generating synergies and offering suitable services for both retail and institutional clients. We are very delighted that Bincy Kochalumoottil, with her long-standing experience and extensive expertise for products, strategy and business development will be joining us in shaping our capital markets business and paving the way for further growth.”

Bincy Kochalumoottil commented: “I’m very happy to contribute towards the success of the capital markets business of Boerse Stuttgart Group in Europe and to open up further growth prospects for the Group.”

Boerse Stuttgart Group launched ESG Finder

As the financial industry increasingly focuses on the ESG aspect of things, Boerse Stuttgart Group introduced ESG Finder, a tool that provides external ESG ratings of 16,000 equities, ETFs, investment funds, and government and corporate bonds tradeable on the exchange.

The ratings come from MSCI ESG Research and evaluate how well companies or countries deal with risks and opportunities in relation to environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects.

Retail investors may now conduct an intuitive step-by-step search, or filter the securities individually using a detailed search from a number of ESG criteria, including CO2 emissions or the exclusion of certain sectors or countries.

ESG Finder provides fundamental ratios for the securities of the different asset classes and presents the results in easy-to-use graphics, said the announcement.
