Cantina Royale launches initial DEX offering and NFT drop for P2E shooter game
The team plans to sell 37,500,000 tokens in this public sale, which should raise another $1.5 million.
Cantina Royale, an Elrond-based real-time play-to-earn shooter game, is preparing for its upcoming Initial DEX Offering (IDO) and NFT drop, which unlocks all P2E functionality.
Developed by Verko, a Layer 2 Metaverse experience framework founded by Koby Menachemi and Daniel Sagi, Cantina Royale is a 15-person passionate development team, with dozens of years of experience in game development.
Verko acts as a plug and play mechanism that any game can use to tap into the benefits of blockchain technology through the use of APIs.
Cantina Royale plans to raise $1.5 million with public sale
Taking place on the Maiar Launchpad, the token sale and NFT drop will be open to registrations today, June 22, 2022.
The real-time shooter game is free-to-play, but its P2E mechanics has catapulted the game to the forefront of GameFi and Web3, the firm claims, as the team prepares the Initial DEX Offering on the Maiar Launchpad.
Maiar is the native launchpad service provider of the Elrond ecosystem and will host the Cantina Royale IDO today, with tokens being sold for the price of $0.04 per $CRT. The initial circulating supply is set at 131,855,000 $CRT, out of a maximum supply of 1 billion $CRT.
Cantina Royale will offer 5,000 NFT units to the Elrond community via the Maiar Launchpad and 10,000 NFT units to the public, including the Genesis Space Apes collection.
The game has previously sold 150 million tokens during a private sale at $0.03 per CRT, raising $4.5 million. The team plans to sell 37,500,000 tokens in this public sale, which should raise another $1.5 million.
The game’s cross-platform and barrier-free interactive blockchain game caters to all kinds of gamers, who can play it on Android, IOS, and desktop operating systems. NFTs can be acquired via in-app purchases regardless of their chosen platform.
As Cantina Royale prepared to launch the game in late May, Lucian Todea, Elrond Network co-founder and COO stated: “The adoption model put forward by Cantina Royale has very high chances of breaking through the relatively narrow blockchain gaming space and reach global audiences, offering millions of gamers with exciting entertainment experiences and zero added friction from the crypto side of things, thanks to the seamless integration of Elrond’s internet-scale blockchain technology.”
Cantina Royale is led by game designer Dan Bojan and developer Paul Szanto. Bojan has previously worked with Angry Mob Games on successful projects such as Predators, Alien vs. Predator and Muffin Knight.
He’s also collaborated with Facebook, Google and Valve on virtual reality and Android console projects. Szanto, meanwhile, is head of engineering for Phenomenon Games and has worked for Gameloft and Angry Mob Games on major gaming projects.
