Mr. Johnson co-founded Cashbackforex.com in 2008 and still has an active, executive role within the firm.

In 2010, Mr. Johnson ventured into the retail FX industry on the brokerage side, and owned FX brokerage Excel Markets between 2010 and January 27 this year, when the firm fell foul of the Swiss National Bank’s decision to remove the 1.20 peg on the EURUSD pair, and returned 96% of client funds the week after Black Thursday, and wound up its operations.

Also in the retail FX sector, Mr. Johnson owned Global Brokers NZ Ltd, which was established in 2011, but was also claimed as a casualty of the Swiss National Bank event in January, having gone bankrupt. The company’s woes were not restricted to the Black Thursday event, with Global Brokers NZ having been placed on the New Zealand government’s blacklist for alleged breaches of financial reporting laws in accordance with the Financial Reporting Act 2013.

Mr. Johnson is best known for his prominent FX related websites, and Cashbackforex.com is just one well known site that he took a lead role in creating, the first being equally widely recognized Forexrazor.com which he co-founded in 2007 and still maintains an active interest in.

American citizen Mr. Johnson holds an NFA license, and is a registered IB in North America.
