Catherine Davis hired to lead IG’s marketing in North America: tastytrade

IG Group has appointed Catherine Davis as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the brokerage firm’s North America operation, reporting to JJ Kinahan, the regional CEO.

She will be tasked to build awareness and growth of IG, North America’s investing ecosystem dedicated to empowering the self-directed retail investor, which includes online brokerage tastyworks and leading online financial content platform tastytrade, among others.

The global Senior Marketing Leadership Team for IG Group is led by Katherine Whitton, IG Group CMO, who will also work with Catherine Davis to design the best marketing strategy for the region.

As CMO of IG North America, Catherine Davis will further support and expand the firm’s scaling efforts and drive client interaction with tastyworks, tastytrade’s content business and FX trading offerings.

Catherine Davis joins IG after serving as Founder and President for marketing strategy consulting firm Think First Consulting and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for non-profit Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization – “2021 Brands that Matter” by Fast Company and received “2019 Non-Profit Organization of the Year” by ANA.

Her 30-year track record includes leading names such as Morgan Stanley, where she held several senior positions including serving as SVP, Director of Global Advertising and Brand Management. She was also CMO of online brokerage, Harris Direct, BMO.

The marketing expert received Adweek’s award as a “Woman to Watch” and their “Media All-Star” recognition. Davis was also recognized by Forbes as a “100 Must-Follow Marketing Mind on Twitter.”
