CMC Markets unveils Board changes

Euan Marshall will join the Board as Chief Financial Officer with effect from November 1, 2019.

Online trading services provider CMC Markets Plc (LON:CMCX) has earlier today unveiled a couple of Board appointments.

CMC Markets today announces the appointment of Euan Marshall to its Board of Directors. Mr Marshall will join the Board as Chief Financial Officer effective November 1, 2019.

Separately, and as previously announced, Matthew Lewis, CMC’s Head of Asia Pacific and Canada, today also joins the Board with effect from 1 November 2019. CMC first announced the pending appointment of Mr Lewis to its Board back in April 2019, when the brokerage also said that Grant Foley will leave CMC. Mr Lewis has been with CMC’s Australian business for over 13 years in various trading and commercial roles across the Asia Pacific region and has been instrumental in leading CMC’s transformational ANZ Bank white label stockbroking partnership.

Today, Peter Cruddas, Chief Executive Officer of CMC, commented:

“I am delighted that Euan and Matthew are joining the Board of CMC. Euan has been with CMC for eight years, most recently as Group Head of Finance, and has made a significant contribution since taking up the interim CFO role in June this year. Matthew was instrumental in leading CMC’s transformational partnership with ANZ Bank and both he and Euan will play key roles in our strategic plans to grow and diversify the business.”

The importance of CMC Markets’ partnership with ANZ was underlined in a recent trading update issued by the brokerage. Peter Cruddas said back then:

“It is clear that we are becoming more than a CFD business with income also being derived from technology partnerships, such as the ANZ deal. This is an exciting area of the business which will continue to grow through further planned partnerships.
