Cowen deploys big xyt’s Liquidity Cockpit for enhanced visibility of marketplace

“The enhanced visibility of the marketplace enables us to provide unique liquidity opportunities for our clients, which is key to supporting our rapidly expanding European equity execution business.”

Cowen Execution Services Limited (CESL) has deployed big xyt’s Liquidity Cockpit for its granular metrics and bespoke dashboards in order to strengthen Cowen’s European equities trading platform and help identify unique liquidity opportunities for its clients.

The provider of smart data and execution analytics solutions will give CESL an edge in navigating Europe’s complex equities markets thanks to its high-quality normalized data that leverages its in-depth domain experience in setting up, running, and maintaining data and analytics environments.

The visual elements of big xyt’s Liquidity Cockpit make it even simpler to access and communicate complex market structure changes.

Enhanced visibility to provide unique liquidity

James Baugh, Head of European Market Structure at Cowen, said: “We are delighted to partner with big xyt and benefit from access to its quality data analytics and visualization tools. The enhanced visibility of the marketplace enables us to provide unique liquidity opportunities for our clients, which is key to supporting our rapidly expanding European equity execution business.”

Mark Montgomery, Head of Business Development at big xyt, commented: “We’re pleased to add Cowen Execution Services to our growing list of international sell-side clients, which is continued evidence of the market’s need for innovative data analytics solutions to deliver tangible benefits for the industry. Banks, asset managers, exchanges, and market participants across the globe consistently rely on big xyt as an independent reference for equity market structure, illustrating our ability to deliver a strong and transparent platform to our clients. Furthermore, James’ well-recognized expertise in market structure enabled us to collaborate to provide Cowen access to unique insights for their clients.”

big xyt has recently been selected by Equiduct so that the pan-European equities and ETFs exchange can use independent analytics solutions to showcase the unique strengths of their market model.

Equiduct is leveraging big xyt to demonstrate better and deeper liquidity, as well as monitor the performance of the market and, ultimately, continue to improve their value proposition.

Liquidity Cockpit was implemented for security analytics, providing a consolidated view of trading activity to reflect the ongoing changes in market structure, along with an additional nine customized metrics.

big xyt has onboarded several leading names within the industry over the years, including Cboe Europe Equities, Liquidnet, and Acquis Exchange.
