CQG beefs up data feed with addition of USDA and USDA-WASDE data
CQG’s data feed has been enriched with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) data and the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) data.
Provider of high-performance trading, market data, and technical analysis tools CQG has added United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) data and the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) data to the data feed.
Access to these data requires CQG Integrated Client or CQG QTrader, data enablements for US Department of Agriculture and USDA-WASDE, and Excel 2010 or higher.
These data can be found under the Exchanges list in the CQG Symbol Finder. You can chart the data using CQG’s “Line” chart type. There are over 4,000 symbols between the two data sources and over ten years of history.
The USDA Economics, Statistics and Market Information System provides crop and livestock data.
This Excel Dashboard is available to display four charts. Enter in the symbol including “X.US.” using all capital letters, then click the “Rescale” chart button. You can enter in the letter “W” for the weekly charts or the letter “D” for the most recent data points.
CQG regularly updates the products it offers to its customers. As FinanceFeeds reported last week, version 5.2 of CQG Desktop platform was released. The new version of the platform offers a raft of enhancements concerning quotes and charting.
Traders can launch the single symbol T&S widget from the Quotes group, single symbol section. It will open using the last used symbol. Traders can change the symbol using the symbol entry in the bottom bar, or use window linking. Like the Time & Sales: Portfolio widget, traders can filter by bids, asks, trades, and traded volume as well as rearrange columns.
The new version of the platform gives traders the ability to show more decimal points for all studies. In the Modify Study dialog, a new parameter is available for all studies to show additional decimal points.
Finally, a new chart type was introduced – Volume Candle.
