Credit Suisse announces appointment of Kinner Lakhani as Head of Group Strategy & Development

Credit Suisse today announces that Kinner Lakhani will join the bank as Head of Group Strategy & Development. In this role, Kinner Lakhani will be based in Zurich and will report to Tidjane Thiam, Chief Executive Officer.

Kinner Lakhani

Kinner Lakhani has considerable expertise across wealth and asset management, investment banking and the wider financial sector, and is among the most respected voices in the industry. He will work closely with Credit Suisse’s divisions and corporate functions.

Mr Lakhani joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was Head of European Company Research & Advisory, as well as Head of European Financials Research, having joined the bank from Citigroup in 2015, where he was co-Head of the European Banks Research team. He has covered the banking sector for more than two decades, with previous roles at ABN Amro and Morgan Stanley.

Kinner Lakhani has written extensively on the future of the asset management, investment banking and the banking industry. Over the past four years, in partnership with a leading global consultancy, he has published profound thematic reports on the trends and outlook for the global wealth management industry, including most recently Out of the pit stop – into the fast lane. He has also served on the European Central Bank’s Macro-prudential Policies and Financial Stability Contact Group.

Kinner Lakhani is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and studied BSc Actuarial Science (First Class Honours) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
