Credit Suisse Asset Management lists its first five ETFs on SIX
Four of the five new ETFs enable investors to gain exposure to broadly diversified ESG portfolios.
The Swiss Stock Exchange SIX today announces that another high-profile issuer – Credit Suisse – has joined its ETF segment.
Credit Suisse Asset Management is listing its first five ETFs, broadening the choices for investors particularly in the ESG space. This takes the number of ETF providers on SIX to 25, and the number of ETFs to 1,564.
Four of the five new ETFs – branded Credit Suisse Index Fund (IE) – enable investors to gain exposure to broadly diversified ESG portfolios. The four ESG products are benchmarked to MSCI USA ESG Leaders and MSCI World ESG Leaders respectively. The underlying indices select the top 50% of companies by environmental, social and corporate governance performance in each sector of the parent index.
The new ETFs aim respond to the needs of investors that have geared their processes and systems to on-exchange trading. The liquidity for the five ETFs is provided by Credit Suisse Europe that newly joins the ETF segment as a market maker and by Flow Traders.
The Swiss Stock Exchange registered continued growth in its entire ETF segment in 2019: trading turnover rose by 24% compared to 2018, reaching CHF 124.7 billion. Sustainable ETFs marked a market turnover of CHF 1.08 billion in 2019 – representing a growth of 18% over the previous year.
