Crypto.com Secures UAE Licence to Offer Derivatives Under VARA

The virtual assets regulator of Dubai awarded Crypto.com a limited license on March 14, 2025, which permits derivatives trading in the United Arab Emirates. The additional licence from Crypto.com gives the platform enhanced VASP authority to provide derivatives products in the regional market.

Expanding Crypto Derivatives in the UAE

Crypto.com’s regional entity will roll out derivatives products through the newly granted approval, including futures contracts, perpetual swaps, and CFDs (Contracts for Difference).

They will first enable eligible institutions worldwide to access the products before allowing qualified investors to use them at a subsequent time.

The license provides USD fiat rail access to Crypto.com retail users, who can perform USD deposits and withdrawals through Standard Chartered Bank.

The licence enables Crypto.com to progress with its multifaceted expansion plan by implementing advanced financial elements across its platform until 2025.
