Spotware Systems has made 9 upgrades to the cTrader platform, which today have been included in the system’s user interface.
Speaking to James Glyde, Business Development Manager at Spotware Systems, FinanceFeeds took a close look at the new features.
The platform now incorporates a service called “Free Chart Moving”, which allows users to click and drag the chart up, down, left or right to move it freely. The chart will not auto-re-scale. The chart can still be scrolled by using the mouse scrolling or scrollbar.
The Price Alerts function has been upgraded in order that traders can now set alerts to be triggered when a symbol reaches a specific price. Click on the “Bell” icon in the “Line Studies Toolbar” or in the “Email Alerts” menu to set a price alert.
Margin Call Alerts functionality has been improved so that alerts can be set to be triggered when a trading account reaches a particular margin level. These settings can be found under “Email Alerts”.
“As we are coming towards the end of 2015 I can safely say this is the most exciting and game changing update for cTrader we have have delivered this year.”
“With three noteworthy features included, a few minor features as well as the usual blast of UX enhancements to support our evolving platform, most of which are aimed around brokers CFD offerings, making it even simpler for traders to navigate around a platform with thousands of symbols.” James Glyde, Head of Business Development, Spotware Systems.
Order Screen Improvements
cTrader has also made changes to the order screens, in the form of a complete redesign. The company considers that now they are more user friendly and now provide a chart and useful information like pip value and margin required.
Additionally, a new symbol tree has been developed, which is a redesign of the previous one to include sub categories of asset classes and color coded visuals.
A Popular Markets function has been added, and can be found in the top of the symbol tree, as configured by brokerages.
The status of each symbol can now be viewed with an icon to the left of the symbol name. Examples of statuses are “Open for trading” or “Market Closed”.
Equity Chart and Trade Statistics charts have been overhauled so that now the “Performance Tab” has been split in to two tabs. The “Equity Chart” displays the balance and equity curve of an account, while the “Trade Statistics” show the trading account’s statistics.
Lastly, the QuickTrade settings have been updated with regard to orders. The Stop Loss and Take Profit settings in QuickTrade will be applied to pending orders created by dragging and dropping the order handles located below the QuickTrade buttons.
