DKK Partners donates £10,000 and staff volunteers to fight homelessness in London

Rick Steves

DKK Partners has launched a Christmas fundraising and volunteering campaign, designed to address homelessness across London, as part of the newly unveiled Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) blueprint.

The fintech specialized in emerging markets (EM) and foreign exchange (FX) liquidity will distribute a £10,000 donation fund to organizations such as Shelter, which helps individuals with housing and accommodation.

DKK staff members will also spend time volunteering at local London soup kitchens and food banks, providing support as part of the company-wide initiative.

The company and its people will be regularly engaged in social action projects and charity work, throughout the calendar year.

Record high rents and soaring living costs driving wave of homelessness

Sulayman Uddin, regional community fundraiser for London, Shelter said: “We are delighted that DKK Partners has chosen to support Shelter and join the Fight for Home. Every four minutes a household in England becomes homeless. Record high rents and soaring living costs mean many more people are at risk of being tipped into homelessness this winter. Funds raised from this event will help the housing and homelessness charity Shelter’s frontline services to continue providing free and expert help to anyone facing homelessness, as well helping to campaign for lasting change.”

Dominic Duru, Co-founder of DKK Partners comments: “With interest rates soaring and the cost-of-living crisis putting huge pressure on people trying to make ends meet, it’s critical that London’s fintech community recognises its responsibility to those in need. We founded DKK with a clear mission statement to deliver first class services to our clients, but that’s only part of who we are, and this initiative is the first of many that will allow DKK to play a crucial role in supporting important causes and making a difference where it really counts.”

Khalid Talukder, co-founder of DKK Partners added: “We’re very proud to announce this initiative, designed to deliver real action to the frontline in the fight against homelessness. Shelter is an incredible organisation with dedicated volunteers, and the work they do protects the wellbeing of so many people.”

DKK launched FX liquidity operation in Ghana

DKK Partners has recently opened a Ghana operation to serve as a hub for the booming African market as the firm expands access to emerging markets (EM) and foreign exchange (FX) liquidity.

The new Ghana office will be led by entrepreneur Sam Nti, who joins as director, and will include an additional four full time staff. The new operation will be based in The Atlantic Tower building at Airport City, in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

The local entity expects to begin formally trading in the first quarter of 2023 and will continue to onboard key importers with a high demand for FX, following the Bank of Ghana withdrawal of FX support in certain industries.

The firm offers virtual IBAN accounts, allowing customers to unlock access to new territories and currencies, as well as EM liquidity, giving direct access to real-time pricing and execution across frontier, emerging and G10 market currencies.
