Dr Ruth Wandhöfer to step down from Board of London Stock Exchange Group

Dr. Ruth Wandhöfer will step down from the Board of LSEG with immediate effect to pursue new opportunities.

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announced a directorate change, as Dr. Ruth Wandhöfer, Non-Executive Director, will step down from the Board of LSEG to pursue new opportunities. The change is effective immediately.

Dr. Ruth Wandhöfer

Dr. Ruth Wandhöfer was previously Global Head of Regulatory & Market Strategy for Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions from 2012-2018. Before 2012 her other roles at Citi included her appointment as Head of Regulatory and Market Strategy, EMEA from 2010-2012 and Head of Payments Strategy & Market Policy (Treasury &Trade Solutions), EMEA from 2007-2009.

Prior to joining Citi, Dr. Ruth Wandhöfer worked for the European Banking Federation from 2003-2007 where she was a Policy Adviser for Securities Services and Payments.

She has held a number of industry board and working group positions including Chair of the European Banking Federation’s Payments Regulatory Expert Group, Chair of the BAFT Global Public Policy and Advocacy Committee, member of the Bank of England RTGS Renewal Stakeholder Board and the EU Commission’s Payment Systems Market Expert Group.

Ruth Wandhöfer holds a number of undergraduate and graduate qualifications in Economics, Economic Policy, Politics and Law and is a FinTech Fellow of Imperial College Business School.
