Eduardo Ansaldo named Exec Chairman of Barcelona Stock Exchange
In this role, Mr Ansaldo will be replacing Joan Hortalá.
The Board of Directors of the Barcelona Stock Exchange has appointed Eduardo Ansaldo Executive Chairman of the company. In this role, Mr Ansaldo replaces Joan Hortalá.
Previously, Eduardo Ansaldo was a director and the general manager of the Barcelona Stock Exchange.
Eduardo Ansaldo has a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration (MBA) from IESE – Business School, University of Navarra, a Bachelor Degree in Geological Science (with specialisation in Applied Geology) from the Faculty of Geological Science of the University of Barcelona and a Postgraduate Degree in Oil Engineering from the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering.
Mr Ansaldo’s appointment is announced one week after David Jiménez-Blanco’s appointment as Chairman of the Madrid Stock Exchange. The agreements for his appointment and for the appointments of the other members of the Governing Company of the Madrid Stock Exchange’s board of directors announced on July 30th were ratified on September 9, 2020.
