“We’re proud to be working with Bankinter, a bank that thinks differently for their clients, just like Equiduct in our constant drive to lead positive change in pan-European trading.”

Equiduct has onboarded Bankinter as the newest member of its Best Execution service, Apex, which includes access to commission-free Best Execution for over 3,000 stocks and ETFs across 12 European markets.

Founded in 1995, Equiduct is a pan-European exchange focused on delivering best-in-class execution for retail and institutional brokers. The fully regulated, MiFID-compliant market segment of Börse Berlin, gives members the ability to deliver Best Execution for their end clients, across all major European markets, using a single exchange connection.

Over one hundred thousand additional new Spanish investors

The retail-focused pan-European exchange is thus committed to working alongside the Spanish retail brokerage community to ensure that an ever-growing number of individual investors receive the best possible execution for their transactions in Spanish & European equities and ETF.

More than five million retail investors already enjoy access to the best execution services provided by Equiduct. The onboarding of Bankinter, the fifth largest bank in the Spanish financial system in terms of total assets and market capitalisation, means that over one hundred thousand additional new Spanish investors will now benefit from the service provided by Equiduct.

Best Execution to Europe’s most popular stocks and ETFs

Wail Azizi, Chief Strategy Officer at Equiduct said: “We’re excited to welcome Bankinter to our exchange. It’s humbling to see our expansion in the Spanish market and know that we are providing Best Execution to Europe’s most popular stocks and ETFs to over one hundred thousand additional new Spanish investors. We’re proud to be working with Bankinter, a bank that thinks differently for their clients, just like Equiduct in our constant drive to lead positive change in pan-European trading.”

César Calvo Medina, Head of Corporate & Business Development at Bankinter said: “Joining Equiduct will improve our Best Execution setup and enhance our value proposition to all of Bankinter Broker’s clients, with the objective of consolidating our position in the Spanish market as the reference service in the equities business.”

Equiduct uses big xyt’s Liquidity Cockpit

In 2021, Equiduct tapped big xyt’s Liquidity Cockpit to use its independent analytics solutions to showcase the unique strengths of their market model. The pan-European equities and ETFs exchange leverages big xyt to demonstrate better and deeper liquidity, as well as monitor the performance of the market and, ultimately, continue to improve their value proposition.

Liquidity Cockpit was implemented for security analytics, providing a consolidated view of trading activity to reflect the ongoing changes in market structure, along with an additional nine customized metrics.
