Equiti Group announces ex-OANDA Chantelle Johnson as CMO

Equiti Group has appointed Chantelle Johnson to the role of Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

The former OANDA executive has strong expertise in implementing and executing data-driven digital marketing transformation across innovative customer value propositions.

Chantelle Johnson’s wealth of global marketing experience was gained throughout 20 years working in new and emerging markets in Africa, Asia, Europe, LATAM, the Middle East, UK, and the USA.

The CMO will be in charge of overseeing the strategic marketing direction across the brand’s portfolio, with a focus on research-led digital strategies in order to drive customer growth and enhance Equiti’s local touch to global offerings and initiatives.

Equiti’s ambitious global growth strategy includes new markets and innovative products and offerings to be launched in the coming months. Chantelle Johnson will play a key role in the success of these campaigns, thus helping to scale the business.

Ms. Johnson joins Equiti Group from OANDA, where she started as Digital Director and grew her way to Global Chief Marketing Officer throughout seven years with the FX brokerage firm.

There, she was responsible for building a full in-house digital marketing team, driving significant growth across customer acquisition and commercial metrics.

Equiti Group injects $10m in FCA-regulated entity to fund strategic initiatives

Equiti’s FCA-regulated entity, Equiti Capital, has recently been injected with $10 million to fund strategic initiatives. The move is part of a wider restructure that has seen top executive moves in July.

Equiti Capital has recently announced the appointment of Paul Webb as Chief Operating Officer. The current COO and Board Member Michael Ayres will hand over the position to Paul Webb by 24 August. Equiti will soon announce Mr. Ayres’ next challenge.

Earlier in July, Equiti Capital’s chief executive Brian Myers was appointed to lead the Seychelles-based subsidiary, Equiti Brokerage, as well as Equiti’s Africa operation.
