Exclusive Capital launches Fractional Shares on MT5

Fractional shares complement the firm’s multi asset offering available on MT5

Exclusive Capital has launched fractional shares on the MetaTrader 5 platform in a move that is likely to boost client onboarding and increase trading volumes.

The CySEC-regulated broker announced the new asset class to address customer demand as investors look to gain more control over their portfolio and more accurate diversification capabilities.

Lambros Lambrou, Managing Director and Co-Founder Exclusive Capital, commented: “It has been a natural evolution for Exclusive Capital to add fractional shares to the existing robust product offering.

“This signifies our commitment in offering a complete solution to our clients, all within the MetaTrader 5 system, with which our customers are familiar.”

Fractional shares are evolution, not revolution

Fractional shares complement the firm’s multi asset offering available on MT5. The broker has recently added over 5,000 new US-based shares and ETFs which can be traded on a fractional basis.

Peter Leonidou, Chief Sales Officer of Exclusive Capital, said: “The main advantage of fractional shares is their limitless capabilities in diversifying over a truly immense range of instruments, without the worry of overexposure in a single share due to its high price. Being able to invest exactly in the ratios, which investors and investment managers want, gives them complete control and enhanced rebalancing capabilities.”

Exclusive Capital has recently joined the TFB ecosystem, by the fintech firm Tools for Brokers which offers the Trade Processor liquidity bridge on the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms.

Joining the TFB ecosystem has ensured that Exclusive Capital provides top-level liquidity and trading experience for its clients.

MetaTrader 5 for the win

It took its time but MetaTrader 5 is increasingly showing its worth against the historical rule of MetaTrader 4.

According to MetaQuotes, the fintech firm that created and maintains the popular trading platforms, the MT5 trading servers utilization by brokers has increased by a factor of 1.5, compared to MT4. The percent utilization of the MetaTrader 4 servers has dropped to 36.7%.

In June 2021, MetaQuotes reported that MetaTrader 5 had become more popular than MetaTrader 4 among brokerage companies, mainly due to the new Pay as You Go model and to a number of important MetaTrader 5 updates.

Renat Fatkhullin, Chief Executive Officer of MetaQuotes, said: “This is a logical and predictable result. MetaTrader 5 is a technologically advanced platform which offers the widest possible opportunities to users, and assists companies in solving business tasks of any complexity level. Furthermore, we expect a complete replacement of MetaTrader 4, amid the rapidly growing popularity of MetaTrader 5.”

The most important updates to the MetaTrader 5 platform released over the past year include the ability to administer cluster machines directly from the administrator terminal, expanded capabilities of the Automations service, a new section for managing Integrations, and new web integration capabilities.
