The distribution network of retail-focused brokers and vendors offering access to FairX futures also includes Tradovate, Ironbeam, Stage 5, EdgeClear, Bookmap, CQG, Rithmic, Sierra Chart, TradingView, and dxFeed.

FairX, a new regulated futures exchange designed for active retail traders, has announced Charles Schwab Futures, Forex LLC, and E*TRADE have completed certification.

The addition of these three leading brokerage firms will open up distribution to a very large number of global clients. A move that is likely to accelerate the already strong growth in average daily volume at FairX.

Since launching in June, FairX has seen volume consistently reaching new highs, with ADV growing 33% week-over-week.

Neal Brady, Chief Executive Officer at FairX, said: “We’re thrilled that clients of Charles Schwab Futures and Forex LLC and E*TRADE – two of the largest, most recognizable retail brokerage firms in the industry – can now trade FairX products that meet the needs of today’s active individual investor.”

Hudson River Trading has joined Virtu Financial and XTX Markets as a market maker and liquidity provider for FairX, thus strengthening the stream of quotes for the exchange’s listed products.

“And to have Hudson River Trading join as an additional Lead Market Maker will further deepen the exchange’s around-the-clock liquidity, providing new and dramatically lower-cost trading opportunities for the retail trader”, CEO Brady continued.

J.B. Mackenzie, Managing Director at Charles Schwab Futures and Forex LLC, said: “We continue to see demand from retail traders and investors to access futures markets, and we are excited to offer access to FairX as another destination for our clients choosing to utilize futures in their overall portfolios.”

Dan Ryba, Executive Director at E*TRADE, commented: “E*TRADE is pleased to open up distribution to our clients as FairX’s offering aligns with our mission to empower retail traders with the tools and service they need to make futures part of their portfolio.”

The distribution network of retail-focused brokers and vendors offering access to FairX futures also includes Tradovate, Ironbeam, Stage 5, EdgeClear, Bookmap, CQG, Rithmic, Sierra Chart, TradingView, and dxFeed.

FairX has recently launched Micro Crude Oil Futures (OIL) as a cost-effective way for active retail traders to trade and hedge the price of crude oil.

Nodal Clear is the clearing partner for FairX, covering all futures contracts listed on the exchange. The FairX Micro Crude Oil Futures contract is sized at 100 barrels and will trade 23 hours a day.

The exchange has made available a list of products that includes futures on the Bloomberg US Large Cap Index, an index that tracks the largest 500 companies by market cap, the Bloomberg US Dollar Spot Index, which tracks the value of the U.S. dollar against a basket of international currencies, as well as the SuperTech Index, tracking 15 of the largest and most actively traded companies engaged in technology, media, and manufacturing industries.

FIA urges CFTC to regulate use cases rather than AI itself

“We urge the CFTC to refrain from crafting new regulations that generally regulate AI because this approach presents certain well-known pitfalls. By approaching the issue from the perspective of AI as a technology, rather than the use case for the technology, corresponding regulations would likely necessitate a definition of AI. We anticipate that any attempt to properly define AI would be very challenging and require considerable resources.”
