Finalto, the financial trading division of Gopher Investments, is making a broader push into newer markets, culminating in a new promotion focused on expanding the business into Latin America (LATAM).

Ricardo Grados

Based in Lima, Perú, Ricardo A. Grados has been promoted to Finalto’s Head of e-FX Liquidity Latam.

Ricardo has stepped into his role at Finalto earlier in May, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile. He will help solidify Finalto’s operations in the LATAM region as well, bringing several years of expertise in the FX space to the role.

Most recently, Ricardo served as an institutional FX/equities sales specialist at an introducing broker. Prior to that, he spent three years in an analogous role with FX hedge fund Optimum Fund.

Earlier in his career, Grados was installed as head of LATAM FX business for London-headquartered forex brokerage Infinox Capital. A three-year stint as vice president of sales and trading at Cayman Island-based brokerage Tradeview took his career between 2016 and 2018.

Grados posted earlier on his LinkedIn profile that he was involved in leading a blockchain startup under the brand Forex Coin, which was looking to use Bitcoin’s underlying technology to streamline investment activities such as social trading and asset management. However, the information about his foray into the cryptocurrency world was entirely removed from his profile page.

Professional background

Nevertheless, Ricardo shares more of his interest around cryptocurrency in LinkedIn posts, pointing out the opportunities that exist within the blockchain, adding that the technology is needed to disrupt diverse industries, including his field of expertise.

Grados has been deeply involved in the derivatives industry since 2005 when he started his career. His 17 years in the industry include senior positions at Soros Fund Management (Quantum), Barclays Capital Systems, and New York-based BBVA Securities.

Prior to joining Tradeview in 2016, Grados worked as head of Business Development and FX Trading at Monaco Private Capital Corp. This appointment followed his departure from the FCA-regulated FX and CFDs broker City Credit Capital, where he served as introducing broker and head of sales-Peru for nearly two years.

Grados joins Finalto at a time when the company aims to expand the reach of its flagship technology stack. Dubbed ‘Fianlto360,’ it is an end-to-end broker solution available on SaaS subscription basis or a fully deployed basis, based on the customer’s preference. Finalto’s proprietary technology enables partners to efficiently onboard, retain and boost customers’ trading activity. It offers a CRM, connections to PSPs, marketing, compliance and reporting tools all connected to Finalto’s white labeled trading platform.
