FINMA-regulated crypto bank SEBA Bank rebrands to AMINA

Rick Steves

“As we look forward to 2024, our ambition is to accelerate the growth of our strategic hubs in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi, and to continue our global expansion, building on all the successes we have laid down over the past years.”

SEBA Bank AG, a Swiss crypto bank, has rebranded to AMINA Bank AG. The bank operates from regulated hubs in Zug, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong.

Founded in 2019, SEBA Bank was among the first FINMA-regulated institutions offering crypto banking services. The rebranding to AMINA Bank represents a new phase in the bank’s history, the company announced.

The name AMINA is derived from ‘transAMINAtion‘, symbolizing the integration of traditional, digital, and crypto banking. AMINA Bank aims to lead in crypto banking, serving both traditional and crypto-informed clients globally.

“A platform for investors to build wealth safely and under the highest regulatory standards”

Franz Bergmueller, CEO of AMINA, highlighted the bank’s commitment to defining the future of finance and focusing on client needs. “We are delighted to introduce the world to our new brand identity. While we say goodbye to the SEBA name, we remain forever proud of the achievements made by the group under the former brand.

“Our brand signifies a new era in the company’s growth and strategy; we are a key player in crypto banking and are here to define the future of finance. With our client-focused approach, our years of traversing traditional and crypto finance, we offer a platform for investors to build wealth safely and under the highest regulatory standards.”

“We are grateful to be encouraged by our supportive and committed investors who have been very helpful, supporting the growth of the company. We thank our employees in all the regions for their dedication and client focus. As we look forward to 2024, our ambition is to accelerate the growth of our strategic hubs in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi, and to continue our global expansion, building on all the successes we have laid down over the past years.”

AMINA’s investors have supported its growth and expansion strategies. The bank’s focus for 2024 includes expanding its strategic hubs in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi.

Current clients will not experience changes other than the new brand name. Operations will continue as usual. The bank’s offices in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Singapore will also undergo name changes to align with the new brand identity.
