James Parker moves to the payments sector

James Parker has joined One Road Payments as Head of Operations, a diversion from his career in the brokerage business which will now see him focus his efforts on providing payment solutions to firms which require the all important facilitation of payment acceptance from mainland Chinese customers.

Mr. Parker joins One Road Payments after operating Spread Cashback for three years, which is a site that compares FX, CFD and spread betting companies and provides rebates.

Prior to establishing Spread Cashback, Mr. Parker was Business Development Manager at British spread betting company ETX Capital, a post which he held during the majority of 2012.

Between April 2009 and January 2012, Mr. Parker was Managing Director at GKFX in London, a position that he assumed following two years and nine months at FXCM as Head of Spread Betting and Retail CFDs at the firm’s British operations.

Starting his career in January 2001, Mr. Parker was a dealer at City Index for just over five years.

Mr. Parker was privately educated at Clifton College in Bristol, England.
