After three and a half years at FXCM Inc (NYSE:FXCM) as Global Head of Option Sales within the company’s institutional FXCMPro division, Anoushka Hampton has left the company to become Sales Director at French FX technology provider smartTrade Technologies, based in New York.

Ms. Hampton joins smartTrade Technologies as her next move within her senior level career in institutional FX.

She joined FXCMPro in November 2010 to manage a global team which sold DCX, the firm’s OTC FX options trading platform which was developed in conjunction with SuperDerivatives.

Anoushka Hampton FXCM

Prior to joining FXCMPro, Ms. Hampton was Head of FX Sales and Partnerships for the EMEA region at British CFD and spread betting company City Index, a position she held between June 2009 and June 2010, having been promoted after 9 months as Client Management Director at City Index.

Ms. Hampton joined City Index in March 2007 as Head of Retail Sales for Europe, following her first stint at FXCMPro, during which she was Head of Spot FX Sales for two years between March 2005 and March 2007.

Coming from the bank FX sector, Ms. Hampton joined HSBC in 1997 as a proprietary trader on the company’s FX prop desk, before moving in 2000 to UBS in 2000, where she was a proprietary FX trader for 4 years.
