FXOpen has introduced a weekly video series with its Chief Operating Officer, Gary Thomson, released every Friday on the FX and CFD broker’s YouTube channel.

The Weekly Market Wrap with Gary Thomson is an informative video series featuring a weekly look back at the global market movements impacting trading.

The launch is part of the global Forex and CFD broker’s approach to enhance the range of educational material offered to clients.

FXOpen’s Youtube channel releases weekly and daily wraps as well as other explainer videos

FXOpen’s YouTube channel also comprises a daily shorts series, offering a one-minute insight into the key market news of that day, as well as a range of informative and explorative explainer videos.

As to the FXOpen Market Wrap series, each episode is around six to seven minutes long, and will have the broker’s UK-based COO Gary Thomson discussing the main market moving news stories of that week.

Thomson is renowned for his expert market analysis and commentary with over 20 years of his career working in the financial services industry.

Gary Thomson, COO at FXOpen UK, said: “I’m pleased to present the FXOpen Market Wrap series. We are currently revamping our content, and have developed this digital series for our traders, that is designed to reflect on the overarching global news stories impacting the markets in that week, in an easy to digest way.”

FXOpen has a network of worldwide offices with brokerages in London, Cyprus and Australia, regulated by the FCA, CySEC and ASIC respectively.

FXOpen cut spreads by over 40%

In July, FXOpen announced a major cut in FX spreads by over 40% as the FX and CFD broker continues to make enhancements to its ECN liquidity.

The move has resulted in much tighter average spreads offered by the broker, namely in FX pairs as exemplified below:

EURUSD average spread 0.2 (data taken on 6th June vs average spread data taken on 21st June)

AUDUSD average spread 0.3 (data taken on 21st June)

USDJPY average spread 0.4 (data taken on 21st June)

USDCAD average spread 0.5 (data taken on 21st June)

The broker has recently expanded its already vast CFD product offering with the launch of 33 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) as the product increasingly takes a critical role in the investment strategy of retail and professional traders.

As contracts for difference products (CFDs), these ETFs provide exposure to their market price and volatility, which can be maximized by raising the leverage ratio. FXOpen offers a ratio of up to 1:5, which is identical to that offered to its stock CFD products.

The product offering is available via FXOpen’s trading platform, TickTrader, which has been made available to all clients since mid-2021 after a successful one-year trial.
