Gold-i’s Crypto Switch integrates global credit network Hidden Road

“With functions that are segregated from custody and execution – such as prime brokerage, clearing and financing – Hidden Road helps counterparties mitigate risk. This seems to be a model which institutional investors are embracing.”

Gold-i has announced that Crypto Switch, its crypto liquidity aggregation platform, has integrated with global credit network, Hidden Road.

Hidden Road offers prime brokerage services across traditional and digital assets with real-time API functionality. Gold-i’s Crypto Switch is now connected to Hidden Road’s API, which allows the former to provide fast and robust crypto liquidity aggregation and drop copy every trade in real-time for their settlement processes.

Functions that are segregated from custody and execution

Tom Higgins, Founder & CEO, Gold-i, said: “Hidden Road is a leading provider across traditional and digital assets, and has used its expertise from the FX world to build a highly credible ecosystem in the crypto world. With functions that are segregated from custody and execution – such as prime brokerage, clearing, and financing – Hidden Road helps counterparties mitigate risk. This seems to be a model which institutional investors are embracing.

“We are delighted to have integrated our Crypto SwitchTM with Hidden Road’s API. Institutional digital asset adoption continues to grow and Hidden Road has a compelling offering, with impressive connectivity and a formidable pool of OTC Market Makers providing deep liquidity.”

Michael Higgins, Global Head of Business Development, Hidden Road (no relation to Tom Higgins) added, “Hidden Road’s focus remains to provide our clients with a robust set of tools across traditional and digital asset classes, both through our own offerings and through the use of strong partners. Gold-i’s Crypto Switch™ is a great fit with our credit network and OTC prime brokerage offering, and further evidence of our partner-first philosophy.”

Crypto Switch leverages Gold-i’s flagship aggregation, liquidity management, and distribution technology stack to provide a proven institutional solution for consuming and distributing crypto liquidity, integrated with multiple crypto market makers and exchanges.

Besides ensuring tight spreads, deep liquidity, and low latency, Crypto Switch is fully integrated with central settlement and clearing partners, providing fiat and digital asset settlement, regulatory compliance, and institutional custody.

The crypto liquidity aggregation platform offers access to nearly 20 LPs and has recently onboarded Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, in a move that enables Gold-i’s institutional clients to trade Binance’s and product offerings.

In Asia Pacific, Gold-i promoted Joy Li as Head of APAC to increase focus on the Crypto Switch solution, particularly in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Korea. The Gold-i Bridge, Matrix and MAM are the firm’s signature products in Asia Pacific, but demand for trading digital assets continues to rise, which is leading Joy Li to spearhead a campaign to grow Gold-i’s client base of crypto fund managers in the region, managing their entire technology infrastructure including access to crypto market makers and clearing.
