Hargreaves Lansdown names Andrea Blance and Moni Mannings its Non-Exec Directors

Both Andrea Blance and Moni Mannings will seek election by Hargreaves Lansdown’s shareholders at the forthcoming AGM on October 8, 2020.

The Board of Hargreaves Lansdown plc (LON:HL) today announced the appointment of Andrea Blance and Moni Mannings as Independent Non-Executive Directors (INEDs) with effect from September 1, 2020.

Andrea Blance will also join the Group Board Risk Committee and Audit Committee, whereas Moni Mannings will join the Group Board Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee, the latter as Chair elect from October 8, 2020, subject to regulatory approval.

Andrea Blance has broad Board and financial services experience having spent her executive career at Legal & General Group plc, where she was a member of the Group Executive Committee and held a diverse range of senior leadership roles including finance, risk and regulation, marketing and strategy. She is currently Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Provident Financial plc and a non-executive director at The Mentoring Foundation.

Her past non-executive roles include Risk Committee Chair at Scottish Widows (Lloyds Banking Group’s Insurance Division), Senior Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at ReAssure Group Plc and a member of William & Glyn’s pre-IPO board.

Moni Mannings qualified as a solicitor with a strong background in international banking and finance and was a Senior Partner and Board member of law firm Olswang LLP. She has held a number of non-executive positions including as a Board member of Dairy Crest Group plc, Polypipe Group plc, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (chairing its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee) and Cranfield University.

Moni Mannings is currently Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Investec Bank plc, a non-executive director of easyJet plc and also serves as a non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of AIM-quoted Breedon Group plc. She is also Deputy Chair of the charity Barnardo’s.
