HashKey Exchange announces imToken as its official non-custodial wallet partner

“We are excited to partner with imToken, a renowned name in the decentralized wallet space. By combining HashKey Exchange’s regulated trading platform with imToken’s secure and trustless capabilities, we aim to bring the virtual asset management experience to the next level.”

HashKey Exchange and imToken, a prominent non-custodial crypto wallet, have embarked on a strategic collaboration that aims to bridge the gap between the “trusted” and “trustless” paradigms of the Web2 and Web3 domains within the dynamic virtual asset landscape.

The crypto exchange is Hong Kong’s first licensed retail virtual asset venue, having recently secured SFC authorizations to operate a virtual asset trading platform under Type 1 (Dealing in securities) license and Type 7 (Providing automated trading services) license.

Fluid movement of value between exchanges and non-custodial wallets

The collaboration between HashKey Exchange and imToken intends to create a comprehensive, seamless, and secure solution that empowers users with enhanced choices, thus merging traditional and decentralized financial experiences.

The fluid movement of value between exchanges and non-custodial wallets stands as a critical juncture in the Web3 investor experience. Investors increasingly seek a blend of non-custodial wallets, fiat on-ramp/off-ramp services, and professional trading capabilities. However, the fragmented nature of service providers often impedes a cohesive user experience.

As part of this strategic partnership, imToken will assume the role of the official non-custodial wallet partner for HashKey Exchange, catering to users who desire self-managed digital assets. HashKey Exchange, one of the pioneering recipients of the virtual asset license from the Hong Kong SFC, will provide imToken users with a trustworthy platform to trade virtual assets, facilitating direct bank transfers for fiat on and off ramps.

Bridge between fiat and digital assets, custodial and non-custodial solutions

The collaboration leverages the trusted attributes of HashKey Exchange’s regulatory compliance with imToken’s established security track record in the trustless realm. The synergy aims to bridge the divide between fiat and digital assets, custodial and non-custodial solutions, facilitating a seamless flow of value within a robust and secure framework.

Livio Weng, COO of HashKey Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are excited to partner with imToken, a renowned name in the decentralized wallet space. By combining HashKey Exchange’s regulated trading platform with imToken’s secure and trustless capabilities, we aim to bring the virtual asset management experience to the next level.”

Ben He, CEO and Founder of imToken, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Our collaboration with HashKey Exchange represents a significant stride towards creating a seamless and secure ecosystem for Web3 enthusiasts. Together, we empower users to take control of their assets while ensuring they have access to a trusted fiat gateway for a holistic Web3 experience.”

The strategic partnership between HashKey Exchange and imToken underscores a pivotal trend in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry—the convergence of traditional financial systems with the decentralized and trustless nature of Web3 technologies.
