Hirose FX to terminate support for old Java tools on Lion FX platform

Whereas some of the old tools will become unavailable from July 1, 2017, traders can use a new solution – LION FX C2.

Clients of Japanese retail Forex broker Hirose Tusyo Inc (TYO:7185), also known as Hirose FX, who trade on the Lion FX platform are about to experience some changes with regards to tools availability in the coming month.

Today, the broker announced its plans to terminate the support of a number of old Java tools on the Lion FX platform. The reason for the change is that these tools no longer respond to traders’ needs.

Effective July 1, 2017, the Java tools available on the platform will include .NET version and a version for Mac only. The old tools for Windows (PC and browser version) will no longer be available.

LION FX C2, a new tool developed by Hirose FX, is set to meet the requirements of modern traders. The new solution will be available after July 1, 2017.

With regards to the pending changes, traders are asked to download the new solutions before the change. Their login details are poised to remain the same.

Earlier this year, another FX broker – OANDA, informed its clients of a change concerning Java, as, effective March 6, 2017, OANDA stopped supporting the fxTrade Java launcher. The brokerage explained that the move reflected the fact that many browsers have chosen to halt supporting the Java based technology. There was no change for the Advanced Charting platform that can still be accessed via most browsers.

Hirose FX has become a public company about a year ago. It received an approval for listing its shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in February last year. This was, of course, a decisive step for the company, which joined the lineup of online trading service providers already listed on TSE’s JASDAQ, like GMO Click Holdings Inc (TYO:7177) and Invast Securities Co., Ltd. (TYO:8709).

Hirose Tusyo has been operational in Japan since 2004. The company has registrations with Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) and the Financial Futures Association of Japan (FFAJ). Hirose also has a UK business, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
