IG Academy app allows traders to join live webinars
The broker has included a brand-new feature where traders can join live webinars with leading trading experts.
Electronic trading major IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) has just released a new version (2.3) of the IG Academy application for iOS devices.
In this release, the broker has included a brand-new feature where traders can join live webinars with leading trading experts. In addition, the app is now fully compatible with iPhone X to give traders the best experience. Users of the solution also get to manage their marketing preferences.
The latest set of updates to the application are released shortly after IG gave its app a brand-new design, making it clearer and easier to navigate.
IG Academy, as its name indicates, aims to teach its users how to trade straight from their phones.
Downloading the application is free of charge. Users may learn about trading financial assets such as shares, indices, Forex and commodities, and find out how to capitalise on both rising and falling markets. They can also discover how to trade using leverage, execute orders and develop a trading plan. The application also offers traders a way to understand risk management and how to protect their profits or limit potential losses. From a psychological point of view, the solution enables traders to gain the confidence to decide what, when and how to trade.
In the meantime, the broker continues to enhance its new web trading platform. Earlier this month, IG introduced improvements to the “Go to” feature, which allows users to search for a specific date (and time) on a chart in a few simple clicks. The charts will then automatically centre on the searched date/time requested by the user. The feature can be found on the platform by clicking on the calendar icon shown in the top level menu and then by selecting “Go to” where a date can be specified. A date and time can be searched for if traders are using a time interval smaller than a day (e.g. 1 hr).
Thanks to the enhancements to the feature, traders are able to see where on the charts is the candle/point in time that they searched for. This information showing the date/time will stay on the screen a few seconds before fading away.
