IG confirms chart loading problems affecting Android IG Trading app

A small number of Android IG Trading app users are unable to load charts.

Online trading services provider IG Group has confirmed some users of Android IG Trading app are experiencing problems with the solution. In particular, a certain number of users are unable to load charts.

The broker has identified this issue as being caused by a Chrome update (v75) that has caused some components in the app to no longer load, such as charts and market data pages. IG is working on a fix that will allow these components to work with the new version of Chrome.

The issue does not affect trading or account functionality.

IG Community also features a comment on the matter. Here is what it says:

“I’m sorry to report that Google have released a new version of Chrome which does not work with the IG Trading Android app. Web pages in the app including Charts, Market data, account opening form, appropriateness quiz etc fail to load. This was due to a roll out from Chrome and there was no forewarning for us on our side to test this.

We are working on a fix to get around the problem with this new version of Chrome, and hope to have it live by Monday. There is a chance Google will have reverted the rollout of this new Chrome by then too – the best way to keep updated is to check https://status.ig.com/ which will update with more information as it becomes available, and any rollouts”.

IG has been updating its mobile apps regularly. The IG Trading app for Android devices enables its users to spread bet, trade CFDs and FX. The solution gives access to 15,000 financial markets on the go – including forex, shares, indices and commodities.
