Interactive Brokers adds “For You Notifications” to TWS platform

The notifications sort through changes then debrief traders on the most important events and updates in their account since their last login.

Online trading major Interactive Brokers is introducing more new features to its TWS platform, with the latest (beta) build of the platform adding “For You Notifications”.

For You Notifications sort through changes then debrief traders on the most important events and updates in their account since their last login. Traders get to see filled orders and open orders that might benefit from their attention, dividends collected and the top contributing stocks, interest earned and important options activity. To get additional details for each listed event, traders have to tap More, with related tools put right at their fingertips.

Available across all platforms, For You Notifications are custom-generated for one’s account, then filtered and weighted to ensure that only the most potentially impactful events make the list.

Let’s note that the latest (beta) build of TWS also offers a raft of other enhancements, such as continuous sorting for portfolio columns and the ability to use the cash quantity feature for stock order entry. When the traders specify a cash value for their order, that value in conjunction with the instrument price drives the number of shares purchased or sold. If the price moves, the number of shares is adjusted to accommodate the entered cash value.
