Invast Global promotes Callan Strickleton to Associate Director Dev Ops

He has already begun automating systems to reduce manual workload and is working directly with the development team to create new and ground-breaking applications.

Callan Strickleton has recently been promoted to the role of Associate Director, Development Operations (Dev Ops) at Invast Global. In his new role, Mr. Strickleton will work in the broader team under Esteban Mora (Director, Head of Technology).

Callan Strickleton earned his Diploma in Information Technology, studying at TAFE in Newcastle NSW, and leveraged it into a rapidly growing career. He started in a support role for an international architecture practice, Grimshaw, based in Melbourne. Mr. Strickleton supported well over 200 users in the Asia-Pacific region and was looking after multiple satellite offices during his tenure.

After concluding his time at Grimshaw, Mr. Strickleton moved to Sydney where he started as a Systems Administrator at Invast Global. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team was forced to shift to a working-from-home setup with little notice.

Mr. Strickleton pulled off the transition without any disruption to the business’s operations or client coverage. This transition changed the way the business operates and gave them complete independence from the office by leveraging Amazon Web Services to handle traditional on-premises services.

He then took over as the Associate Director of Information Technology in December 2020 and has since shouldered the responsibility of Invast’s Dev Ops team, learning a new specialization in record time. He has already begun automating systems to reduce manual workload and is working directly with the development team to create new and ground-breaking applications.

Esteban Mora, Director, Head of Technology at Invast Global, commented: “Callan plays an integral and senior part in the management of Invast Global’s infrastructure and special projects. Callan’s experience, work ethic, and skill set play a vital role as Invast expands.”

Callan Strickleton added: I’m very excited about our growing technology team. It’s an honor to be included among some of the best talent the industry has to offer. I am eager to continue contributing to Invast Global as the business provides valuable brokerage serves all over the globe.”

Invast Global has recently appointed Bao Huynh as Director of Marketing as he rejoined the Sydney-based multi-asset prime broker from Morningstar, where he was Marketing Campaigns Manager for three years. He first arrived at Invast in 2015 to work in the Marketing division.

The Prime of Prime broker has recently launched a new Index CFD product utilizing market data derived from the trading of the highly popular VIX® futures contract offered by Cboe Futures Exchange.

The company also introduced USD index and Canadian index CFDs as part of its suite of Index and Commodity CFDs. These are available via API from Invast Global’s trading servers in NY4, LD4, and TY3.
