Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) has deployed the ION Derivatives Global Trading Platform (GTP) to manage and grow its derivatives execution and hedging operations.

ION provides trading, analytics and risk management solutions for capital markets, commodities, and treasury management.

LDC is a leading agribusiness with activities that span the entire value chain across a diverse range of product lines. Its business helps feed and clothe an estimated 500 million people every year.

Robert Cioffi joins ION

Last month, ION appointed 25-year industry veteran Robert Cioffi as Global Head of Equities Product Management after spending 15 years at UBS Investment Bank, where he recently held the role of Executive Director and Product Manager, Securities eCommerce.

At UBS, he led the Cash EQ Product Management team before moving to product management of the award-winning UBS Neo Platform, which grew to 1.8 million users.

Robert Cioffi is also a former Vice President at both Instinet, an institutional broker and independent equity trading arm, and the electronic trading platform MarketXT Inc.
