Latest version of CQG desktop trading platform enhances CSPEC widget
The new version of the platform adds maintenance margin and MIC label to CSPEC widget.
Provider of high-performance trading, market data, and technical analysis tools CQG has announced an update to the CQG Desktop platform.
The latest version (4.8) of the solution makes enhancements to the Contract Specifications (CSPEC) widget, which provides detailed contract information for products in the futures, cash, currencies, indices, government reports, stocks, and fixed income markets. Maintenance margin has been added to the CSPEC widget as well as an MIC label to exchange to help with troubleshooting.
Traders can now also access the Pitchfork drawing tool. When there are multiple similar tools, long-click on the pointer tool icon on the pointer tool toolbar to see available options.
Further, the new platform allows faster widget launching. Previously, launching a widget from the left bar would require traders to place the widget in the layout. Now, widgets will appear immediately next to the active tab. Widgets can then be repositioned by dragging and dropping the tab.
The preceding version of the platform included enhancements concerning quotes and charting.
For instance, traders got the ability to sort a QSS (Quote SpreadSheet) and SST by symbol. Like any of the other columns in QSS/SST, clicking on the column header will sort by that column. It is a 3-state toggle, so clicking on the column will toggle between ascending, descending, then back to manual sort.
In version 4.7 of the platform bracket orders became available on the Order Ticket. Further, position margin in the Account Summary widget is received directly from the risk server.
