Latest version of NinjaTrader adds experimental feature for automatic strategy generation
The experimental feature aims to allow traders to automatically generate a NinjaScript strategy with the new experimental “AI Generate” backtest type.
NinjaTrader, a specialist in trade simulation, advanced charting, market analytics and backtesting, has just rolled out a new version of the platform, which comes packed with a raft of new features, including an experimental one.
Version 8.0.18.0 of NinjaTrader adds an Automatic Strategy Generator – a NinjaTrader experimental feature that may or may not evolve over time. Traders are set to be able to automatically generate a NinjaScript strategy with the new experimental “AI Generate” backtest type. One can configure any number of indicators and/or candle stick patterns to be considered and sit back while NinjaTrader does all the work.
After running the AI Generate it will list the best strategies from the results. Selecting View will then pull up the strategy code in the NinjaScript Editor so that a user can view it and save it if desired.
Further, the latest version of NinjaTrader also adds Market Watch. With the new Market Watch window, user of the platforms can quickly see the net change throughout the session. At the top right of each tile one will see the price with the net change below it in points and percent.
The platform also adds Equivolume bars thanks to which users can easily see which bars received the largest volume (indicated by being the widest) and which bars received the least volume (indicated by being the thinnest) in comparison to the other bars in view.
The newest version of the platform also introduces the automatic “Trend Lines” indicator. When a high swing is followed by a lower high swing, a trend line high is automatically plotted. When a low swing is followed by a higher low swing, a trend line low is automatically plotted.
Traders also gain the ability to submit an ATM order on Alert’s Actions. Another enhancements is that the Price Box plot style will display just a price box in the y-axis, without plots on the bars.
Let’s recall that the preceding version of the platform improved work with charts. For instance, it added the Drawing tool tile indicator, which enables users to have a floating tile in the chart that can be customized to quickly access the most commonly used drawing tools.
