The latest version of the API also makes the event notification service generally available so that it does no longer require individual setup per partner.

Multi-asset trading company Saxo Bank has released a new version of its OpenAPI. The latest version introduces enhancements to a number of service groups, ranging from Auto Trading to Charts.

For starters, let’s note that new version of the OpenAPI implements support for Traspaso orders. In case you are wondering, a Traspaso order is a type of switch order. A ‘TraspasoIn’ structure has been added to order placement requests and ‘TranspasoIn’ value has been added to PlacableOrderType enum.

Other novelties in the new release of Saxo’s OpenAPI include two new fields (‘IsAutoFundsTransfer’ and ‘PositionsCloseOnDeactivation’) added to response in the Auto Trading service group. In terms of Client Services, there is a new functionality to support search for a client within the owner hierarchy.

Further, the event notification service is now generally available and does no longer require individual setup per partner.

The preceding version of the OpenAPI was rolled out in February this year. The release saw a new ‘Summaries” endpoint added to provide an overview of all investments for all clients under a particular owner. This change concerns the “Auto Trading” service group.

Regarding the “Client Management” service group, a new “CompleteApplication” endpoint ewas added which can be used to trigger immediate processing of a submitted signup. Also, a new section called “PensionData” has been added.

Saxo Bank has been updating its OpenAPI regularly. In December 2018, FinanceFeeds reported about the addition of new authentication flows and a streaming solution to the OpenAPI.
