London Stock Exchange announces Raffaele Jerusalmi to step down as Group Director of Capital Markets division

Raffaele Jerusalmi will remain as CEO, Borsa Italiana after stepping down from Capital Markets role.

London Stock Exchange Group Plc (LON:LSE), or LSEG, has just unveiled some changes concerning the top ranks of its Capital Markets division.

In a regulatory filing, LSEG announces that Raffaele Jerusalmi, Group Director of Capital Markets, LSEG and CEO, Borsa Italiana, has informed the Group of his intention to step down as Group Director of Capital Markets by the end of 2019.

Raffaele Jerusalmi will continue in his current role until a successor is appointed and remains an Executive Director of the Board of LSEG plc and a member of LSEG’s Executive Committee. He continues to report to David Schwimmer, CEO, LSEG. Raffaele Jerusalmi will remain as CEO, Borsa Italiana after stepping down from Capital Markets role.

LSEG will undertake a global search for a Director of Capital Markets. Capital Markets is one of LSEG’s core businesses across Capital Formation, Information Services and Post Trade and Risk Management Services, supported by Technology and a commitment to operational excellence.

Earlier this year, LSEG announced changes at the top of its Information Services Division. In January, LSEG announced the appointment of Waqas Samad as Group Director of the Information Services Division (ISD) and a member of the LSEG Executive Committee. Waqas Samad, whose appointment became effective immediately, will report to David Schwimmer, CEO, LSEG.

In March 2019, Cressida Hogg CBE joined the Board of LSEG as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.
