TORA has announced the appointment of Mark Moran as Sales Director, to work alongside Tom Mollooly and grow TORA’s PMS, OMS and EMS products to the US buy-side and sell-side firms.

Reporting directly to TORA managing director Chris Jenkins, Mr. Moran will leverage recently signed partnership deals with EBS, BondCliq, and ICAP.

Chris Jenkins, Managing Director at TORA, said: “Mark is a fantastic addition to the team. He has great experience in both buy-side trading firms and technology projects for the sell-side. Mark will be focused on expanding our US sales channels following the latest success of our new generation PMS which provides seamless and innovative workflow between portfolio manager and trader, with automated general ledger, real-time swap finance modeling, and of course fully integrated with our industry-leading OEMS.” said Jenkins.

Mark Moran, Sales Director at TORA, commented: “I am delighted to be joining TORA. Their recent growth and innovative technology makes them stand out as an employer in the market. I am looking forward to driving growth and helping US hedge funds and asset managers to develop workflow efficiencies and technology to scale with their front and back-office operations.”

TORA’s PMS offers enhanced SWAP support functionality that can create and track specific cash flow streams during any stage of the contract.

The time-series data solution can be accessed by dedicated User Interfaces, a specific API endpoint, or can be integrated into Excel.

The system also delivers integrated tracking of P&L indicators and daily accrued interest with single-click actions, charting dashboards, and cash flow reports.

TORA has recently integrated its OEMS with global institutional investment network, Liquidnet’s IA Trader. The integration offers access to advanced artificial intelligence, data analytics tools and a broad range of Liquidnet trading algorithms.

Integrating IA Trader directly in the TORA OEMS helps equity traders enhance their decision making process at the point of trade. The system delivers actionable signals, alerts, compact stamp summaries and data visualisation capabilities that are designed to provide clients greater day-to-day efficiency and enhanced operational workflow in one holistic system.

Liquidnet’s IA Trader provides pre, post and intra trade execution analytics driven by exception alerting across equity and related market data. Time-stamps, alerts and analytic tools are designed to helps traders to uncover potential hidden risks and opportunities in their blotters, portfolio or watchlists.

TORA’s OEMS offers front-to-back end trading for hedge funds and asset managers, fully auditable, MIFID II compliant, with in depth order records, price information and best execution reports. TORA’s platform also delivers advanced pre trade and post trade TCA to improve execution quality and ensure best execution.

In October 2020, TORA launched their new Portfolio Management System (PMS), featuring a new general ledger, advanced SWAP contract modeling, rapid time series functions, impressive charting capabilities and dashboards.

The real time general ledger (GL) will deliver trial balances, a full balance sheet and income statements. There is also the ability to show and reconcile the shadow NAV, all features essential for today’s hedge funds.

Time series reporting is also a central new feature clients will be able to access historical Profit & Loss snapshots over any time period. The cached data storage means that bespoke reports can be produced faster and more efficiently, including all data such as NAV, exposure and fees.

From an operational perspective there is greater support for complex SWAP contracts and clear customizable dashboards. The system also comes with a large number of pre-defined intuitive charts for clients to select from and has the ability to customize.
