Moomoo collaborates with CBOE Global Markets to introduce index options products, marking a significant expansion in accessibility to sophisticated trading options for U.S. customers.

Moomoo has partnered with CBOE Global Markets to provide index options products to its U.S. customer base. This strategic move aligns with moomoo’s commitment to enhance market accessibility and supports CBOE’s dedication to offering comprehensive market access globally.

The launch includes six index options tied to prominent financial benchmarks such as the Dow Jones, Nasdaq-100, and S&P 500, with several options exclusively listed on the Cboe Options Exchange.

Options trading on Dow Jones, Nasdaq-100, and S&P 500, more

Moomoo is waiving proprietary exchange fees for index options trading until February 2024, promoting inclusivity among its active user base. This initiative, coupled with access to in-depth, real-time index options data at no cost, provides moomoo’s customers with greater opportunities to leverage their investments.

Justin Zacks of Moomoo Technologies emphasizes the crucial role of Cboe’s index products in fulfilling their mission to empower investors with reliable, diverse, and liquid options for portfolio diversification and risk management. “Interest in options trading generally is at an all-time high and index options have been a part of that growth. Indices such as the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 are known around the world and while you can’t invest directly in an index you can trade options directly on one,” said Justin Zacks. “At its core, the offering of Cboe’s index products is paramount to the success of our mission. These products are widely regarded for their reliability, diversity, and liquidity, making them instrumental in empowering investors to diversify their portfolios and manage risk effectively.”

Catherine Clay from Cboe echoes this sentiment, recognizing the value of index options in various market conditions and the importance of educating the retail trading community. “Cboe is deeply committed to empowering the growing retail trader community with education, product innovation, and expanded access to the options markets,” said Catherine Clay. “Over the years, index options have stood the test of time, serving as valuable tools for hedging, asset allocation, and income generation through many types of market environments. We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with moomoo to bring the potential benefits of index options to an even greater base of retail customers.”

To celebrate this collaboration, moomoo invites stakeholders to a special event at Cboe’s Chicago trading floor, featuring educational sessions on the new products and fee structures.
