Today, “Invest Diva” Kiana Danial looks at this niche from a very interesting angle – as well as from the landmark plasma screens at New York’s NASDAQ head office !

What was the absolute best achievement at Invest Diva in 2015?

The best achievement of 2015 was hands down winning the New York Business Journal’s “Women of Influence” award…But that only was an outcome of a greater achievement: actually being able to mentor and educate women and men alike in the field of investing, in a year that turn out to clear our highest sales volume in the Invest Diva Education Course—EVER!

OK, so nobody is perfect. What is the biggest thing you can improve on from last year?

There is so much to improve. First and foremost, I got caught up on being a newly-wed so I didn’t produce as many videos as I was supposed to, which lowered our overall traffic on InvestDiva.com

Statistics show video has become the type of content with the best ROI, and that customers who view video are 1.81X more likely to purchase than non-viewers.

Moreover, using the word “video” in an email subject line boosts open rates by 19%, click-through rates by 65% and reduces unsubscribes by 26%, which kind of explains the drop in our website’s ranking on Google.

Heading into 2016, we have not only planned our video productions for the next three months for our own website, but also on the road to create more partnerships with other financial entities who are looking for white label video content. We LOVE helping other companies boost up their media content through our services!

What was the funniest thing or incident that happened in the office last year? Any cringe worthy or epic fail moments?

I was invited to NASDAQ to be a guest on a morning show on Business News Network (BNN). As much of a Diva I think I may be, I got there early without even having my morning coffee, thinking they are going to treat me as the star I deserve to be.

Alas! Unlike my previous TV experiences, there was no makeup crew waiting to make me look fabulous, no fancy private room to wait for my turn to go live, and of course NO COFFEE!

After getting settled in the set with 15 minutes to spare, I decided to take the matters in my own hand, and search for coffee.

“It is for their own good if the guest doesn’t fall asleep through the production after all!” I thought.

I ran to the mini kitchen the production assistant told me about, couldn’t get the machine to work, and ran back empty handed and coffee-hungry, with less than 5 minutes to going live.

I was in touch with the on-site talents (all the way in Canada) through an earphone. They must have not known that they were on and that I could hear them because by the time I sat down, this is what could be heard on the headset:

Production assistant: She is just sitting down, she went to go get coffee.

Producer: WHO THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE IS? AND WHERE THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE’S AT? A FIVE STAR HOTEL?
