NaftogazThe Ukrainian state company Naftogaz has signed contract with the US Frontera Corporation for import liquefied natural gas to Ukraine, using the terminal in Georgia, released Maritime News Journal. Under the agreement, which will has a duration of two years, the both companies will cooperate in the field of energy – development of oil and natural gas and the import of raw material through the facilities of Frontera Corp. The confirmed reserves of natural gas, the company operates in Georgia are 300 billion cub m.

At this stage, however, no details of the quantities or price were disclosed.

Since July 1, Kiev stopped buying natural gas from Russian Gazprom, as the two sides failed to agree on the price of the raw material. Ukraine prepaid supplies and ‘Gazprom’ stopped accelerating the country. Meanwhile, the state oil company of Turkmenistan announced over the weekend that Gazprom Export does not fulfill its commitments under the contracts for the purchase of Turkmen gas. Since 2009 Gazprom is the largest buyer of gas harvested in Turkmenistan.

Annually Gazprom buy up to 42 billion cub m of LNG, according to the message on the website of the National Oil and Gas Company. Since the beginning of 2015, however volumes decreased to only 4 billion cub m. Since the beginning of the year Gazprom does not pay for these supplies from Turkmenistan complement the company.
