Natural gasThe natural gas consumption in Ukraine decreased with 30.3% yoy in July. Last month consumption in Ukraine was 1.27 billion cubic meters, which is 14% lower compared to June. According to the data published by statistical office in the country it is clear that in general fell sharply quantities consumed energy. When coal is the decrease of 26% yoy and 8.2% on a monthly basis. Last month, the country consumed 4.69 million tons of coal.

Also the statistical office signed a reduced oil consumption up to 227 thousand tons. This represents a decrease of 23.3% compared to July 2013 and by 8.3% compared to June 2014. Because of disputes over natural gas price Russia is not supplying gas to Ukraine. Currently Kiev buys raw material from Germany and is a supplier RWE. Country gets known quantities through reversible connections with Poland and Hungary. The question is whether these quantities will be enough for the winter heating season. Only a few days ago and mentioned a possible solution of the case – the Ukrainian Rada approves possible sanctions against Russia, which also provide the suspension of transit of Russian gas through the territory of the country.

In this way, European companies will be able to buy gas from the border point of gas networks in Russia and Ukraine, as Ukraine itself and will not buy gas directly from Gazprom and from European suppliers. However, this plan has not been put into effect, and in turn formally requested Germany to Ukraine will stop gas supplies to Europe. In the Russian media does information emerged that Ukrainians mass insure and buy heaters for the winter.
